EFCC captures 2 men with 556 ATM cards and explorers' checks

 


The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,EFCC, has captured 2 men distinguished as Jonathan Odu Isikwei and Paschal Onuora Udeh with 108 ATM cards and 448 explorers' checks.

Jonathan Odu Isikwei was found with 448 explorers' checks, while Pascal Onuora Udeh, 34, was captured with 108 ATM cards on his approach to China.

An announcement issued by the Head of Media and Publicity of the EFCC, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren expressed: "The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is set to charge one Jonathan Odu Isikwei for unlawful ownership of 448 explorers' Checks.

"Isikwei 51, a local of Igbodo in Aniocha nearby government zone of Delta State, was captured at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, by the Operatives of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) amid the outward freedom of travelers on a Belgium-bound flight.

"The case was exchanged to the EFCC for further examination."

"The 448 voyagers' Checks recuperated from Isikwei were found to purportedly fit in with four banks in America, Europe and Canada.

"The banks and the voyagers' checks are – Gun Nebo Inc. (Bank of Nova Scotia)- 117 pieces, Postbank Frankfurt - 258 pieces, Safe Federal Credit Union - 41 pieces and RBS (Royal Bank of Scotland) - 32 pieces.

"Every one of the voyagers' checks were marked, with some having money related quality composed on them. Among the checks having a place with Safe Federal Credit Union, 27 pieces were clear, while 14 bits of the checks have money related quality worth 322,800 US Dollars.

" (27) bits of the explorers' checks fitting in with Gun Nebo Canada Inc. were clear, while 90 bits of the checks have money related quality worth 354,300 Canadian Dollars.

"The suspect who guaranteed he fares dried fish from Nigeria to Belgium, told agents that he gathered the package for ahead conveyance to a companion with no information of the substance."
