ICPC recoups N53m from a suspect who supposedly occupied N103m implied for three Federal Government schools



The Chairman, Independent Corrupt Practices, ICPC and Other Related Offenses Commission, Mr. Ekpo Nta, said while the commission had recouped N53m from a suspect who supposedly occupied N103m implied for three Federal Government schools, he would stay in the commission's authority till the equalization's recuperation.

The ICPC manager said the commission had recorded accomplishments in the battle against defilement, beginning with the recuperation of benefits seized from authorities of government who he said were being examined for living over their methods.

Nta said, "We simply returned near N1bn to the Federal Ministry of Environment and N53m to three universities in Ogun State.

"An official in the service took the cash and stopped it into a devoted record. We followed it and recouped the cash. The N53m we simply came back to the schools was recouped from a Federal Pay Officer in Ogun State.
