Buhari Approves N70m For Nigeria's 55th Independence Anniversary
Lol. This new government sef! President Buhari has sanction N70 million for the whole festival of Nigeria 55th Independence Anniversary which is slated to initiate from September 25, 2015.
Unveiling this at a question and answer session today, the Secretary to the Federation's Government, Babachir Lawal, said the Federal government has chosen that the free commemoration would be commended relaxed, that is the reason just N70m was affirmed to deal with the whole festival.
Lawal who was spoken to by the Permanent Secretary on Political Affairs, Mrs. Ibukun Odusute, clarified that the explanation behind the serene festival is on the grounds that the present organization welcome the financial hardship that Nigeria and surely the country is gone up against today.
"What the President made clear is that we can't have Nigerians in torments and not able to do what they should do by reason of our lessening assets and after that we are spending sumptuously on festivities. That has been his logic and standards, that it would not be reasonable to spend Nigeria's cash that can be spent in paying pay rates to individuals, verifying that kids are agreeable in their different schools, giving empowering environment to organizations to flourish in the nation and we will leave all that and spend vast measure of cash on festivity. He felt it was not an insightful thing to do and we completely concurred with him. In this way, the principle purpose behind calm is a result of the country's condition concerning our accounts. President Buhari will address the country at 7am on October 1, 2015.
